The Oasis
Participants in IAM webcourses are like travelers in a desert caravan, making
their way through the shifting sands of inner and outer experience, by sunlight
and starlight. They may use computers rather than camels, but it is a great
journey in the truest sense. Guided by the webcourse leader, the curriculum
carefully crafted by Puran and Susanna Bair and the inspiring teachings of
Hazrat Inayat Khan, the caravan of travelers makes its way into
the unexplored terrain of body, mind, heart and soul, challenging perceived
limitations, forging true friendships, and changing lives.
It's no wonder that, as participants near the completion of a webcourse, they
report two paradoxical feelings:
-
They are genuinely tired from the demands of the journey and feel they
need resting time to process all that has happened, AND
-
They don't want the webcourse to end!
That's just what The Oasis is for. The Oasis is a new offering to webcourse
participants from IAM. It's a resting place between webcourses that allows
continued community with fellow travelers, as well as suggested practices to
facilitate integration of all that was learned on the last journey and readiness
to join the next caravan. The Oasis will be moderated by Jody Curley. She will
respond to the group once a week and make suggestions for group practices.
