Retreat of the Heart
The most intensive form of the IAM training is the retreat.
Here we can dedicate ourselves to the spiritual practice of opening and developing the heart
through Heart Rhythm Meditation.
Why should you go on retreat?
- To learn more about your spiritual practice and path
- To resolve an issue in your life about work, relationships or self
- To establish a new foundation for your daily practice
- To prepare yourself for a large project or major change
- To reach a new realization about yourself and heart.
What are the signs that you need a retreat?
- Overloaded or overwhelmed by life
- Exhausted or spiritually depleted
- Moody, impatient, frustrated or angry
- Spaced-out or confused
- Longing for a different life
- Avoiding intimacy or friendship
- Dreading your work or not finding meaningful work
- Feeling a lack of purpose in life
IAM offers two kinds of retreats:
The Private Retreat,
led by Susanna Bair in Tucson, AZ
The Group Retreat,
5 days in New Lebanon, NY, in July, or 5 days in Santa Barbara, CA, in February.

With the maturity of his soul, a man desires to probe the depths of life.
He desires to discover the power latent within him.
He longs to know the sources and goal of his life.
He yearns to understand the aim and meaning of his life.
He wishes to understand the inner significance of things.
He wants to uncover all that is covered by name and form.
He seeks for insight into cause and effect.
He wants to touch the mystery of time and space.
He wishes to find the missing link between God
and man - where man ends, where God begins."
