"Experiencing the Unlimited"

Starting July 6
for 4 weeks

Puran's Voice from Your Computer
Instead of reading the instructions and then trying to follow them step-by-step, you can just turn on your computer speakers and click on the "Play" button in the new rooms of the virtual Meditation Dome. Puran's voice will fill your room as he leads you to share in his own meditation experience.

Save the Meditations for Later Replaying
The sound files will download to your computer, so you can replay them anytime thereafter, even after the webcourse closes.

Eight Different Practices in Advanced Heart Rhythm Meditation
Puran will lead eight meditations in four weeks, designed to take you into the Third Stage of mystical experience, where one feels the reality of the One Heart. These are advanced meditations, to continue the experience of Heart Rhythm Meditation beyond the methods given in his book, Living from the Heart. (For a description of the Five Stages of mystical experience, click on Five Stages.)

Some of these meditations were offered in an early webcourse, but they haven't been part of a webcourse for the least five years. And some of the meditation practices will be described here for the first time.

Weekly Interaction
This is not a one-way course. You'll be expected to write your comments and observations on each meditation and, of course, ask questions and clarifications. Puran will write to each participant at least once a week, and all messages can be seen by everyone in the course.

Registration
The course starts Wednesday, July 6, and runs to August 3rd. The cost is $250. There is a prerequisite: a regular practice of Heart Rhythm Meditation. Register here

Webcourses 101 and 102
Both Start August 19, 2005, for Eight Weeks

For communicating with the heart and improving its health

Puran's book

Course 101 teaches basic Heart Rhythm Meditation, the method of feeling your heartbeat and synchronizing with your breath to produce a rhythmically-changing heartrate. This heartrate pattern gives cardiac strength and emotional power, and makes living from the heart attainable. It progresses through Stage One and Stage Two.

Taught by Catherine Warrick.

For directly experiencing the energy of the Heart

lightning

Course 102 teaches the Element Breaths, described in Living from the Heart, which are powerful subtle energies that stretch the heart in four Dimensions as they open the heart's treasure of power and wisdom. It goes through Stages One and Two, and touches Stage Three. Course 101 is recommended as a prerequisite.

The Method of the Heart
by Hazrat Inayat Khan

In the path of the heart, one learns not only by the study of books but by the study of life. The whole of life is like an open book and every experience is a step forward in one's spiritual journey. The method of the Heart is to unite with one's innermost being and consider that:

  • One's heart is one's shrine and one's body is one's temple.
  • Every person is not only one's brother and sister but is oneself.
  • There must be no claim of spirituality or goodness.
  • There is no need to judge anyone, except oneself in one's own doings.
  • One's constant attitude towards others is that of love and forgiveness.
  • One's innermost being is the object of one's worship and the Beloved whom one loves and admires.
  • Our interest in life is art and beauty.
  • One's task is the service of humanity in whatever form possible.

What is it to become heart-natured?
The full development of the heart is the completion of a person. The final product is a noble character, self-fulfilled, responsible, and able to be of service to your world as your heart leads. We seek first to heal the heart's wounds, to open the heart, and then to discover the heart's guidance and power leading to the purpose of your life. IAM offers a complete method for becoming complete.

How is it measured?
We are privileged to be able to offer a map of human development through 18 steps of realization to the fully illuminated heart nature of a world teacher. These steps can be self-assessed once they are understood. We also describe twelve archetypes of people, showing the possibilities of different paths to the heart goal. The archetypes are observed in yourself and others through behavioral, verbal and non-verbal clues. Three levels of character development are described in detail for each archetype. And the four dimensions of the heart are described and reflected in one's pressing needs for health, relationships and accomplishments.

How is it accomplished?
We teach the four interventions that every person can make to expand their understanding, harness their emotions, deepen their spiritual experience and re-create themselves as needed to serve their purpose in life. These four interventions form the basis of all meditation and personal growth. They are the only four things that a person can absolutely control, and we teach how to develop the steps of realization along the path of your archetype in response to your own pressing need, using these tools.

Heart Rhythm Practice is the Meditation of Our Time
Listen to your body. Value your mind. Honor your ego. Harness your emotions. Attentive to physical sensation, alert and awake, feel all emotion. Authentic, profound, scientific, ancient, but not religious. No fantasy, no spacing-out. Real practical benefits to your health, work, and relationships. Taking the goal of responsibility and integrity, not freedom and detachment, we seek to have a greater impact on our world than our world has upon us. Radiate from your heart that which will fill your life.
