LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Assessing the Dimensions of the Heart

  • Describe the magnetic field of the heart in three dimensions.
  • Observe HRV measurement and its indication of the heart's dimensions.
  • Recognize challenges, distortions, blockages, and growth potential related to the four dimensional model of the heart.
  • Identify the development of the heart's strengths as the main objective in therapy.
  • Use feedback from the heart to objectively gage progress.

Coping Skills for Managing the Physical Heart's Response to Affective States

  • Reduce heart rate, blood pressure, and other physical stress indicators by breath and visualization practices.
  • Maintain calm openness through noise and confrontation.
  • Develop flexibility and tolerance through appreciation of the heart's processes.
  • Demonstrate heart-centered attitudes and behaviors as a model for clients.

Empowering Clients To Become Self-Actualized: Greatness Practices

  • Interpret dysfunction as indication of potential in the same dimension.
  • Use observable facts in complimenting the client, for irresistible impact.
  • Recognize the mirroring of one's heart qualities in one's vision of others.

Assigning Homework: The Exercises For Life

  • Use "Exercises for Life" to demonstrate heart-centered behaviors.
  • Reinforce in-session discoveries by practical challenges.
  • Describe the stages of progress in behavioral heart-mind integration.
  • Inspire clients with descriptions of exemplary styles of meeting life's challenges.

Six Continuing Education Units are awarded for therapists and other health care professionals.
