There are times in our life when it's important to review our progress on the spiritual path and take a new step forward. This is that time for me. I have been an initiate on the Sufi path since 1973 and am greatful for th guidance provided by Puran and Pir Vilayat Khan and others through the years, and especially for the teachings given by Hazrat Inayat Khan, which are an endless source of inspiration.

I live in Ventura, California, close to the ocean, about an hour's drive north of L.A. and just south of Santa Barbara. Currently, I work professionally as a social worker and psychotherapist in a school-based program where my office is hidden away for the sake of the privacy of students who meet with me. I am a poet and am married to a poet. Music, poetry, and all of the arts are close to my heart and soul.
