Liz Smith Houston, TX |
Liz, also known as Majida has always been one who loved to journey deep inside her own and others beings. To this end she has found herself in jobs and situations where she was profoundly connected with people. As others would comment that they wanted to travel and “see” the world she would comment that the journeys she longed for were inner explorations. She found Heart Rhythm Meditation increased the meaningfulness of her discoveries and gave her a vehicle for manifesting their beauty in the physical world. Liz has studied with Susanna and Puran for more than 10 years becoming certified as a mentor and teacher. Presently she teaches an ongoing Heart Rhythm class and enjoys a vibrant mentoring practice as well. She is grateful for all she is able to learn about life through the hearts of those she meets in this process. Ecstatic dance and meditative movement are a regular part of Liz’s life. These practices have nourished her love and appreciation of the body and given her many joyful experiences. Amazingly the body is able to flow into many twists, turns and shapes. Liz has deepened these practices by teaching and facilitating classes. In her professional life, Liz, was a social worker with adolescents in crisis before morphing into a public school teacher for the past 20 plus years. In her present position she teaches Computer Literacy to 7th and 8th graders. Liz loves her job and most importantly her students. Through patient attention and caring she encourages her students to discover their full potential. Liz has one son who is presently attending college. |
