Our mother's heartbeat is our earliest experience in the womb.
Our first
breath is experienced as we exit her womb, and our last breath defines the
end of our life.
It must have been one of the earliest observances of
ancient contemplatives that the body has two rhythms: the breath rate and
the heartrate, the coordination of which produces an experience of
integration that is essentially spiritual.
This is the essence of Heart Rhythm Meditation, and
it emerges in the descriptions of the meditations of every tradition.
At IAM we have further developed Heart Rhythm Meditation using scientific
instrumentation and research which confirms its benefits to our physical and
emotional bodies.
